Our story
Over 27 years ago, in the vibrant heart of England, a dream took root.
With a love for the natural world, a keen eye for detail, and pure grit, our founder Alex Jones nurtured this vision until it blossomed into a thriving reality: the Central London Gardening Company.
In providing landscape and gardening services across the city, Alex has grown not only plants, but relationships. He’s cultivated a rich network of trusted suppliers across Europe, ensuring we procure only the finest materials for our projects, and, as our reputation has bloomed, we’ve been privileged to collaborate with top-tier architects and interior designers.
Alex’s wife, Laura, a staunch advocate for nature and sustainability, joined us in 2014 and deepened our environmental ethos, while our energetic and passionate team brings an unbeatable vibrancy to our mission every day.
Our projects dot London’s most esteemed establishments, from opulent five-star hotels to sophisticated private gardens, turning the urban cityscape into a vibrant canvas of green. Each garden is a testament to our meticulous planning and careful planting, considering the future of every seed we place in the earth.
As we relish the simple joys: bird songs, busy bees, and the gratifying knowledge that we’re doing our part for the environment, we recognise that the Central London Gardening Company is more than just a company. It’s a near three-decade love affair with nature and a persistent journey to create a greener London, one garden at a time.
Our values
Growing with purpose
Cultivating Joy
Gardening is more than a service, it’s an invitation to celebrate life.We believe that gardens should inspire, rejuvenate, and bring pleasure, turning everyday moments into cherished memories.
United Growth
We adopt a collaborative spirit to better understand your needs as well as the needs of the environment, enabling us to create green spaces that are both beautiful and meaningful.
Local Love
We strive to create green spaces that benefit our local community, enhancing both the aesthetic and environmental health of our neighbourhoods with plants and materials from local suppliers.
Green Guardianship
We select plants and materials that support local biodiversity and limit our environmental impact. We’re passionate about encouraging wildlife and contribute to the health and wellness of our city.
Our Promise
We envision a city where humans and nature thrive in harmony.
Each garden we create is more than just a green space; it’s a testament to our commitment to a city that’s as beautiful and vibrant as it is sustainable and resilient.

Every plant holds a story waiting to unfold in our hands. We're passionate about reusing and repurposing plants, ensuring nothing is wasted. For us, gardening is not just about the visuals; it's an embodiment of sustainable practices.
-
We're not just gardeners; we're keepers of nature's tiny wonders, maintaining four active beehives and selecting plants that attract pollinators. Every garden we craft becomes a refuge for these vital species, adding to the richness of our green, lively London.
